LIFE UPDATE

Long time no talk friends. It has honestly been like 6 months since my last post on here. A lot happened this year. And I mean a lot. So lets break it down as short as possible or else this is going to be a novel.

'

At the beginning of the year, we took Weston to get tested for allergies, specifically for milk and eggs. Which both came back positive. His milk allergy is very severe, so we have epi pens for him! So far we have discovered that he can't have plain eggs. But if they are baked into something, he can have them.

Joseph graduated from USUE with a bachelors is English! Which I am so proud of him because he literally hated school! But he did it!

Weston was also diagnosed with Asthma. We had 3 hospital trips in one month, two of which we were emitted to the ICU. This really could be a different post all by itself, but long story short when Weston gets sick, it causes his lungs to basically collapse. Every time we went to the hospital, he came back positive for Rhinovirus, which is basically the common cold to us adults. But because of his Asthma, it really just destroys his respiratory system. He had a really good summer, but we did end up taking him in to the ER about two months ago. But thankfully they didn't keep us over night!
They just gave him a steroid which they prescribed us some to give to him at home, and let us leave!

Joseph joined the Marines, and left for OCS (Officer Candidate School) May 31st. I kept myself busy the entire summer to keep my mind off of him being gone. I worked, and worked, and worked. I was pulling off 8-10 hour days, with Weston by my side! My parents bought a local boutique that I worked at and opened up another little store inside. So we really did have a busy summer!

Weston also turned one! I can't believe it! But as I am writing this he is 16 months! What a fun year this has been! He is my little buddy, and I am so grateful that I am able to stay home with him!

Joseph graduated OCS on August 10th, which meant that I packed our house up and moved across the country. We live in Stafford Virginia. We are 5 miles away from the main side Quantico, and about 40 minutes away from Washington DC. My family came out for a week, and I loved every second of it. I miss them like crazy though! Living so close to DC is honestly so fun! There are so many things to do, and I feel like we just don't have enough time to do everything!

Right now, we are at TBS (The Basic School). Joseph will graduate from here the beginning of March, then we will pick up again and move to Pensacola Florida for flight school! Joseph has a pilot contract, which he is over the moon about!

So yeah, this is the very, VERY short version of what has been happening in our lives this year! We are so ready for this next chapter of our lives!
