WESTON'S FOUR MONTH UPDATE

Image
Photos by Kenzi Kim Photography She's my girl! Check her out! You guys! How has it already been 4 months! It has seriously gone by so fast, I can't believe it! Weston is getting so big, and it makes me so sad! But watching him learn and grow has been so much fun! We are almost a week past his 4 month mark! We had our 4 month checkup today! He got his second round of shots and he did so good! He cried, but we didn't have any tears! He is 25.5 inches tall (68th percentile) and weighs 12.8 pounds (5th percentile)! So he is very tall and VERY skinny! We are in a size 2 diaper already! He still is practically bald except for his little baby mullet in the back! But we are pretty sure he is going to be blonde and we are like 95% sure that his eyes will stay blue!  THINGS WESTON LIKES He LOVE, LOVE, LOVES reading books. I started reading with him at around 1 month, and it is honestly his favorite thing! I am sure it is just the pictures that he really

DITL OF A NEW MOM

Image
Hello! I haven't done any postpartum updates or anything like that since having Weston, but I thought it would be so fun to share with everyone what a typical day in the life of a new mom is like! Weston is almost 3 months old which is crazy! He sure does keep me busy and I am loving every second of it! 1:28 AM This is what time our morning started today! We do co-sleep, which there is lots of controversy about, but it has worked so well for us and I am so glad we have done it! I am getting a full nights sleep, and I love it! 3:39 AM I woke up  Westons next feeding. He doesn't eat a ton, so he does wake up more frequently during the night, but honestly I don't mind because I feed him laying down. Which, I guess he doesn't really wake up. He just starts moving around so I feed him before he actually opens his eyes and cries. He did feed again, but I forgot to see what time it was! I think it was 6 something 8:49 AM Good morning! Or so I thought! We

15 THINGS I WOULD HATE TO LIVE WITHOUT

Image
Hello! Today I decided that I would share my top 15 things that I would hate to live without! Of course if I had to I could go without them I would survive, but wouldn't ever want to! 1. My phone I have definitely gone without my phone for days at a time. But knowing what it is like to have technology and then having to go without seems miserable. I feel that I have pretty good self control when it comes to electronics, but man I just get so bored! I realize that I don't do much on social media, but I just like looking at other peoples social media! 2. Shampoo & Conditioner ew. ew. ew. Like yeah I go awhile without washing my hair. I wash it once or maybe twice a week. But I honestly would probably die without shampoo and conditioner. 3. Ranch Ranch is my FAVORITE dressing ever. I eat it with everything. And I mean EVERYTHING. I hate eating food plain. Like it is to the point that there are times I would rather not eat something because I don't have

BLESSINGS THAT COME FROM BEING A MEMBER OF THE CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST OF LATTER-DAY SAINTS

Image
Today  in Sacrament, I was asked to speak on blessings of being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I think of blessings, I normally think of the basic blessings such as family, food and water, clothes, and shelter, those sort of everyday things. But this week as I have thought about other blessings that I don’t recognize on a daily bases, I was reminded of personal stories that have happened to me that gave me a stronger testimony these blessings and that is what I would like to share today.   The first blessing I thought of is the blessing of tithing. When Joseph and I were talking about getting married, my mom told me that to get married in the temple, I had to be a full tith payer. At the time I was working at the Wave Pool, and as a high school kid, money was very important if I wanted to drive my car instead of taking the bus, and eat out for lunch instead of eating school lunch. Of course I paid my tithing, but there definitely wer

NEWBORN MUST HAVES

Image
Long time no talk! Being a mom has been such a dream! I find myself not wanting to do anything else but hold and love my babe! He is already over a month old! It seems like yesterday he was born! I decided that I would share my newborn must haves or really just must haves products for new moms! They are all products that I use everyday! A ROCKER I always find myself having that mom guilt for not always holding my baby and I know that I shouldn't! For the most part we can get our baby to stay asleep in a rocker, which allows me to get ready, clean the house, and whatever else I need to do with both hands. He has a really hard time staying asleep if he isn't moving, so I have been loving our rocker! We have the  4moms rockaRoo , and it has been amazing! I don't really put him in it just to swing, mostly just for naps. He just really likes being held so he cries every time I try to set him I there just to sit! But as I'm writing this, he has been asleep in there

LABOR & DELIVERY

Image
Alright it is time to share my labor and delivery story! I am currently sitting in the hospital on day 7 of having Weston! I have been discharged, while he is still getting the care that he needs and I figured that this would be the perfect time to write this while it is fresh in my head! Sort of! It all started Saturday July 14th. Joseph and I got up and went to make some money off of all the extra junk we had sitting around our house! We were at our yard sale from like 10-4 ish. I had done a lot of sitting and when my butt hurt I would go bounce on the yoga ball I was trying to sell!😂 I was having more contractions that day, but nothing intense. They would go from being frequent to being hours apart. Just very random. We ended up leaving around 4, but stopped to see my mom and work for a bit. We then went to the store to get the necessities, like water, milk, and Oreos. You know, the important stuff. When we got home neither of us felt like cooking so we popped some corndog
